Think jumpsuit or maxi or midi beach dress, linen, khaki, sports coat optional (no need for a tie!), no shorts please. We will be on the beach for the ceremony and dinner so feel free to kick off your shoes or wear sandals.

We have two hotel options: Petit Lafitte & The Fives Beachfront.

The wedding will be held at Petit Lafitte and The Fives is about 200 yards down the beach.

There is a room block at Petit Lafitte and we have a discounted rate available at The Fives Beach. You must contact them via email to receive our discounted rates. We highly encourage you to book your room as soon as possible as outside of the room block the hotels will be very busy for the Spring.

The Fives Beach has 7 outdoor pools, a child center, multiple restaurants, an eco-walk, spa, and also offers an all-inclusive option. Please note, The Fives is not a room block but a special discounted rate for our guests, so please book early if you wish to stay there.

They are both wonderful hotels, Petit Lafitte is a smaller and quieter hotel. The Fives Beach is a larger resort with more amenities. Michael and Kimberly will be staying at The Fives earlier in the week and will be staying at Petit Lafitte Friday - Sunday.

Airport Information - Hotel Transfers

Cancun International Airport is about a 43-minute drive (approx 32 miles) from Petit Lafitte and The Fives. Both hotels offer transportation options and you can also book private shuttles on your own.

We have secured the services of private shuttle service with Next Travel. They will charge $65 for the trip regardless of the number of people. (The hotel shuttle and taxis will be $100 and higher). To reserve a private shuttle, please text Cesar Solorzano via WhatsApp (regular text is ok as well but less efficient) in advance of your trip. Please include your flight number and arrival information. His number is +52 984 213 7697.

When you exit the airport at baggage claim, you will head outside and see a large group of drivers with name placards. The shuttle drivers will have a placard with your name on it. There is no coffee (only margaritas!) at the airport exit, so we have confirmed that the drivers are also willing to stop at Starbucks on the way to the hotel - just ask. Please contact well in advance so they can plan their staffing needs. They are also available for private excursions.

Taxis are also available at the airport (safe but expensive -$120.) Car rentals are also available. If you do rent a car, all companies will steadfastly refuse to take your car insurance, third party insurance, or the insurance on your credit card. The least expensive liability insurance will be around $30 a day. If you have questions, email Michael. He wrote this and will gladly give more detail or explanation.
